We've partnered with BLOOM™ to use reclaimed algae in the soles of our BLOOM shoes. BLOOM takes excess algae, which would otherwise harm the planet, and transforms it into a lightweight, durable form, replacing the plastic materials used in conventional soles. Less water makes a world of difference. H2Lo denim styles utilize an innovative wash process that uses 50% less water than the typical process. Over the next few years, we’ll keep expanding this initiative to reduce water and energy consumption during our manufacturing process.

Organic cotton is better for the planet—and for the farmers. Organic farming means no GMO seeds or toxic chemicals are used; instead, farmers use traditional techniques and natural solutions to manage pests. This helps build a healthier soil, reduce water and energy use, and keep the farmers and their families safe.

Using recycled polyester makes us less reliant on petroleum and allows us to divert plastic water bottles from landfills, helping cut down on soil contamination and air and water pollution. Recycled polyester also takes a lot less energy to produce, reducing our (and your) carbon footprint.

We work closely with fabric mills that are BLUESIGN approved, ensuring these fabrics are created with sustainably responsible resources and processes. The chemicals, processes, and materials we use demonstrate our commitment to protecting people and the environment.

Earth-friendly water resistance. EcoDRY™ technology offers protection against the elements without harmful, environmentally damaging chemicals.

Rice husks—the outer shells that surround each grain of rice—are usually thrown away after milling. To keep them from ending up in landfills, we blend them into a midsole and sole, creating an eco-friendlier base for our shoes. In the process, we're reducing waste and our use of petroleum-based materials.

For our Moresby boot collection, we developed a brand-new sole made of 30% recycled rubber—material that would have otherwise ended up in a landfill. Our Moresby boots are also made with responsibly sourced leathers, making them both stylish and sustainable.

We’re proud to be a part of the Leather Working Group, an organization dedicated to setting environmental standards within the leather manufacturing industry. We are committed to sourcing our leathers responsibly, partnering with Leather Working Group tanneries for the majority of our leathers, as well as working with all of our suppliers to improve their environmental stewardship.
